Indian Railway announces the new  5 digit train numbers for all the trains  from 20th of dec onwards.

Currently all the trains didn't have the same digit of the numbers. It isvery complicated to find the train.

So, Indian railway planning to change all the train numbers in 5 digit only.So, its easy to get and understand.

Currently passenger train have the 3 digit, it will added new 2 digit before current Train number. Express train numberadded front into 1 digit. So, Allover india train number will be changes on or before 20th dec 2010. IRCTC report.

Currently train number digit changes going on the system as backend process.
