Eight folks of a family, as well as four kids, were charred to death when the automotive they were travelling in collided with a truck and caught fireplace on Ahmedabad-Bagodara highway on Wednesday. All the folks within the automotive were charred beyond identification.
The incident occurred when a automotive carrying eight persons of Bharwad family was on its thanks to Dhandhuka from Surat. The vehicle collided with a truck carrying sand at around three pm. The collision was therefore powerful that each the vehicles turned turtle. Soon, the CNG cylinder within the automotive exploded resulting in a hearth within which the passengers within were burnt to death. The locals and passersby known as the fireplace fighters, however before they reached the spot all the victims were dead.
The truck driver, however, fled from the spot and a grievance has been registered by Bagodhara police against him. The deceased were identified with facilitate from relatives of the family in Dhandhuka as Rasuben, Veeriben, Nilesh, Hasu and their four kids.
"The bodies we tend tore therefore charred that we had to resort to on-the-spot post-mortem," said police officers.
