Tablet Market now welcomes Amazon Kindle Fire

The Kindle Fire, a color tablet released by Amazon. The device runs a modified OS version of Google’s Android at $199. As it is designed for consuming books and magazines, the company limits to making black and white e-readers.

Amazon targets Apple’s iPad that has color tablet, wished to enter in rival bookseller US Barnes & Noble. With dominating to Apple’s iPad, the Kindle Fire is into a heavy competitive market. Amazon hopes to generate its popular e-book reader and also to provide the content on music and video.

In recent times, combining with the company offering on downloadable music for sale and streaming video-on-demand service in US, provides a sophisticated content “ecosystem”. Will Findlater, editor of Stuff magazine say “The amazing thing is the price and backup service”. He adds “Except the iPad other platform is lacking at content which is a big differentiator”

Amazon’s opposition for 10” displays and decision on 7” screen favored many rival manufacturers for a cause to Ovum analyst Adam Leach. It had not been attracted much among the consumers even though it successes by providing a lower price with this screen size.
Amazon sells more electronic copies of book than paper copies, though it released it official sales figures for Kindle and as the Digital content proves to be a money-spinner for Amazon already.

Its Nook devices brought success to US rival, Branes & Noble. The company released the Nook color runs a version of Android with lower hardware specs on October 2010. Some users managed to unlock the wider functionality and install third-party apps as the Nook color is mostly concentrated on book and magazine reading. Comparing to the most powerful tablets from Apple, Samsung, Motorola and others, Kindle Fire’s price $199 and the Nook Color by $50 provides a cheaper tablet to users. It is said to be release on 15th November in US.

Now Amazon also announces a refresh of its Kindle e-readers, Amazon UK said the new version retailed at 89 francs, were the entry level device has removed its keyboard will sell for $79. US had only informed its price as the Kindle Touch a version accompanied by limited touch-screen capability will sell for $99.
Amazon Chief executive Jeff Bezos states, “These are premium products at non premium prices, we will sell millions of these”.
