Soon after Mamata Banerjee became the Chief Minister of West Bengal, she introduced the act. Her government made Ratan Tata to cancel its 99 years signed up lease project for Nano Factory which nearly comes to 1000 acres of land.
The Left which lost with Banerjee ih the state elections on May this year had been signed up the deal. Now Ratan Tata had challenged the Singur Act. The supreme court order is been expected by them in order to appeal against the Act.
